Dog beds
Ah, there's nothing like a good nights sleep to make one frisky
and bouncy the next day. What pet wouldn't love to snuggle down for
the night in his/her own doggie sized bed? Our beds are made to be
seen, not hidden in the laundry room along with the dirty clothes.
Dog beds have come a long way since Bowser used to sleep on the
family couch at night.
Why get your pet their own bed?
One very good reason. So they sleep in it! The experts say that
dogs should not share a bed with their owners yet feel that dogs
like the security of sleeping in the same room as their owners. (or
maybe it's the other way around.) Don't let your dog share your bed
as it may lead to problems down the road. Such as the dog taking over
your bed. This can happen in large more aggressive dogs where they
feel they are the master and you are lower in the pack than them.
You'll be the one sleeping in the laundry room. The smaller dogs and
puppies love the feel of the pet dens. It makes them feel cozy and
warm. Larger dogs may like the flatter beds or mat type beds where
they can have plenty of room to stretch out. Dogs that are older and trained to sleep in a
certain area love the designer dog beds that they can call their
own. Anyway you look at it a dog loves his own bed.
That being said, there are many other things you should consider
before buying a dog bed due to the many different styles available.
For instance, are you looking for a dog bed that will be a permanent
fixture in a room? If so, you might want to look at one of the beds
that are shaped like couches, or for a dog bed that has a frame in
it. A dog bed with a frame of some sort will work best as a
permanent piece of furniture because it will be harder to shift
accidentally.
However, if you’re looking for a dog bed that won’t be a
permanent piece of furniture in the room, you should look into
getting one of the other dog beds that are easier to pick up and
store. For instance, many people find that a large cushion dog bed
works just as well as anything else for their dog. The reasons for
this are several. Most cushion dog beds can be separated from the
outer covering for cleaning purposes, and they’re relatively easy
to pick up and move should there be a need to do so.
